The Official Website of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue

You may be able to resolve your non-filer or deficiency notice online! Currently, this feature only supports the following notice types:
  1. "Failure to File Notice"- for Business Taxes (sales, use, withholding, meals, room occupancy, cigar, etc.). As well as Cigarette Excise for Individuals.
  2. "Failure to File Notice"- for Income Taxes, excluding notices that are exclusively for income derived from a Partnership (K1 income).
  3. "Notice of Intent to Assess"- for a CP 2000 adjustment resulting in a deficiency, as a result of a Federal Change assessment from the IRS. Or, you received a notice as a result of the Federal return to State return "line matching" program.
Regardless of notice type, you must be within 30 days of the Notice Date found on your Notice, and had no prior correspondence or contact with DOR trying to resolve this issue for these tax years. The Document number and Identification number (Social Security Number or Federal ID #) can be found in the upper right hand corner of your notice.

You will be able to:
  • View Notice Details
  • Pay Taxes
  • File Returns
  • Dispute Notices
